Next Level Swing offers two tracks: the social track and the competitive track.
The idea behind this is that not everyone wants to compete but still wants to become a better dancer. We call these Social Level 1 and Social Level 2.
If you want to compete and have WSDC points, you will automatically be eligible for our SWDC levels (Novice/Intermediate or Advanced/All-Star levels). To enter the Novice/Intermediate level, you will need at least one novice point.
If you want to join a higher level than Social Level 1 and don't have WSDC points, you will need to audition (regardless of the level you registered for). You can audition for every higher level if you want to. If you have points but want to compete in a higher division, you will also need to audition.
The audition will take place on friday at 17:00-18:00.
Complicated? Don't worry, we've got your back. Just talk to us at the event, and remember that if you don't have WSDC points and want to try out for Social Level 2, you will need to audition.
Open for everyone! This level of classes/workshops is for all dancers of any level to attend.
You’ve been taking regular classes for 1–2 years. This might be your first event, or you may still feel unsure about attending events outside your local community. You're aware that you need to strengthen your basics to feel more confident on the social dance floor, but you're also eager to learn simple tools to dance more musically while maintaining flow. You may not have competed yet—but you're curious about it.
You have more than 3 years of regular classes and have done a lot of classes with national and international teachers. You can dance with a partner of any level without any problem. Technique and pattern variations have no secrets for you and you master any musical style and speed. You want to improve your musicality by interpreting the music more, not only using the beats but all the accents.
This level is for competitors in Novice and Intermediate division.
Mandatory: at least 1 point in Novice
This level is for competitors in Advanced and Allstar division.
